Borneo with Turtle Island, Kuala Lumpur & Singapore 11 days

Day 1 :Depart from SFO/LAX/JFK/IAH via Singapore Airlines

Day 2: KUALA LUMPUR – ARRIVAL

Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur, you will be met at the airport and escorted to your hotel.
Overnight at Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Day 3: KUALA LUMPUR

Breakfast is served at hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for KL Countryside Discovery
Time to make friends with folks out of the city at the Batik Factory and understand the intricacy of producing this Malaysian traditional cloth. Be enthralled with the works of nature at the Batu Caves limestone temple and the animals that inhabit it. The tour also includes a drive pass to Ambassadors Row and The Royal Selangor Pewter Factory & Visitors Centre.
Back to hotel after tour. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Overnight at Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4: KUALA LUMPUR

Breakfast is served at hotel.
Your day is at leisure on own arrangement.
Overnight at Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Day 5: KUALA LUMPUR / SANDAKAN

Breakfast is served at hotel.
After breakfast, check-out hotel and transfer to KLIA 2 for flight to Sandakan.
Upon arrival at Sandakan, meet and greet by our airport representative and transfer to hotel, check-in hotel and freshen up.
Free at leisure on own arrangement for the rest of the day.
Overnight at Four Points By Sheraton, Sandakan.

Day 6: SANDAKAN / TURTLE ISLAND

Breakfast is served at hotel.
Pick-up from hotel and transfer to jetty for boat ride to Selingan Island. It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to the Island.
Upon arrival, check into chalet and lunch at cafeteria, then free at own leisure (e.g. swimming or snorkeling).
After dinner, wait for rangers signal’s to see turtle laying eggs. Reburied and releasing the baby turtles.
Overnight at Selingan Island Resort, Selingan Island.

Day 7: SELINGAN ISLAND / SANDAKAN / SEPILOK / KINABATANGAN RIVER

depart island for Sandakan. Breakfast is served at jetty at Sandakan.
After breakfast, drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. At this Centre, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs at the feeding platform and proceed to the Orang Utan Nursery. Later, continue to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the Centre that managed to improve the living condition of the rescued sun bear and released their natural behaviors in the 2.5ha enclosed forest.
Depart Sepilok Centre transfer to jetty in Sandakan for schedule boat depart. Take an hour of boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest.
Check in Abai Jungle Lodge, late in the afternoon, you will be expecting a cruise to search for wildlife until the sunsets while enjoying a cup of coffee and by night falls continue the night cruise to witness the fireflies as Christmas tree. Return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner, again experience the “Jungle at night” at our nature boardwalk to search for birds, snakes, insects and other wildlife with the nature guide.
Overnight at Abai Jungle Lodge, Kinabatangan River.

Day 8: KINABATANGAN RIVER

Wake up by the calls of nature. Early morning take a river trip to Pitas oxbow lake to observe wildlife and experience the uniqueness of Pitas Lake.
After breakfast, you are invited to join our tree planting project with the locals, enjoy a simple lunch arranged by the villagers at Abai village. This project is specially designed to help the locals.
After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at the Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.
Late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: KINABATANGAN RIVER / GOMANTONG CAVE / SANDAKAN

Wake up to the calls of gibbons or hornbills.
After Breakfast, continue journey by land to Gomantong Cave and back to Sandakan town and transfer to the airport for flight departure to Singapore. 

Arrival in Singapore. Transfer to your hotel.
